Memorial Day usually involves a trip to the cemetery with family to pay our respects to those who fought for our freedom, whether it was on the front lines or on their front steps, followed by a ceremony performed by veterans and brunch at a local restaurant. Although we couldn’t be with family, or visit any of the graves of loved ones, Britt and I went to Turku Cemetery to say a prayer and give thanks for those who fought and still fight for our freedom.
A very fitting flower…
What a beautiful place to “rest” in peace!!
