Last night we went to Mikaelinkirkko (St. Michael’s Church), an Evangelical Lutheran congregation that houses itself in a Swedish/Gothic German building that was built from 1899-1905. Truman State University’s Cantoria Choir is currently on their international tour, and Turku was their second stop. They sang a range of songs from Omnis Una to Somewhere (from West Side Story). They had beautiful voices and although the house wasn’t very full, everyone there thoroughly enjoyed their performance.
