Turku Castle

Even further South down the Aurajoki River lies the medieval Turku Castle. It is about a 45 minute walk from our apartment, but well worth it. This was the castle from which Sweeden’s kings ruled over Finland for hundreds of years. Today it doubles as a museum as well, but unfortunately wasn’t open when we stopped by. It’s absolutely enormous, and from what I hear the tour is fascinating and includes two dungeons!
