Went for a walk along the Aurajoki River and spotted this whale’s tail. It’s a sculpture that sits near the end (or beginning) of the river where it begins to meet up with the Baltic Sea. It’s beautiful, and BIG. The picture doesn’t really convey the enormity of the sculpture or the hundreds of colors that make up the fin.
Does this whale tail move at all? It appears that there might be some sort of motor in the base. Interesting!
No, I don’t think it moves. I know that in the summer water falls from the base of the fin, turning it into a water-fountain.
