Though both Britt and I sometimes (almost always) disagree with the way that some (most) Americans conduct themselves, we were feeling a bit patriotic today (we missed our family and the celebrations that go along with the 4th) and in order to celebrate we made the most American meal that we could for dinner. Nothing says “American” like a big juicy burger.
It should be noted that while we do have our hang-ups with the good ole’ US of A, we are proud of the freedom and democracy that the States stands for. More importantly, we are proud of the men and women who have fought to establish and maintain those liberties.
Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité.
*”I Am America, and So Can You!” is a pretty funny book by Stephen Colbert, you should probably read it
That is a pretty good looking burger. I have loved my travels in America, I think it is a great place.
If you look at my blog today you can see Brisbane, Queensland in mid winter.
It looks absolutely lovely! What a fantastic beach so close to the city! Britt is really hoping to get sent to Australia for the second leg of our trip. However, that would be right in time for Australia’s summer season. I’ve got my fingers crossed for Italy, Germany or France.
Look me up if you come to Italy in October or November.
