Tonight we went out to Vaakahuoneen Paviljonki, Turku’s jazz club. Sitting along the Aura River, this hot spot brings excellent jazz talent from all around and keeps the music going well into the night (that is actually day, due to the sun never going down during the summer).
All of the music is free, and the menu is excellent. I had an Oscar burger, and it was delicious!
The Carling Family Jazz Circus was tonight’s entertainment, and they were outstanding! They did everything from play jazz to a juggling act and dance numbers. A lot of fun to watch!
This woman was the front-man and not only did she sing (with a voice like butter) but she also tap danced, and played: trombone, trumpet, recorder and drums!!
